A Black Woman Is…

Through intimate reflections from 12 Black women and girls, this documentary celebrates the many expressions of Black girlhood and womanhood. Spanning age, identity, and lived experience, it unfolds as a love letter to Black girls everywhere. A Black Woman Is… affirms that Black women are not a monolith, but a constellation. It reminds us there is no single way to exist, shine, or be seen.
