Craft Takes Labour

As a photographer and filmmaker, I am drawn to stories that reveal stories of daily life, the labour behind creation, and the quiet dignity of those sustaining tradition. This film came to me naturally through a local fixer I was working with on an unrelated project. With very little knowledge of Huỳnh himself, I met him at his house at 4 a.m. to observe his process and learn more about his everyday process.

You don’t need to be fearless to reach your goals, you just need to be willing. Willing to try, willing to learn, and willing to believe that you’re capable of more than you know. The road may not always be smooth, but growth rarely is. What matters most is that you keep going, keep learning, and keep believing in the version of yourself you’re becoming.
